A light breeze was blowing through the open door of the balcony as Susan entered her room and fell back onto her nice, soft bed. She sighed as she stared up at the canopy. "Its been so boring here at Cair Paravel these past few days. Nothings happened, no great feasts, no interesting invitations, nothing. If it goes on like this I think my head may explode," she thought out loud.
It was after lunch and her brothers and sister decided to go outside and get some fresh air, perhaps gone for a swim, or just around the courtyard. Susan, wanting some time alone, returned to her room.
The queen flopped over onto her stomach and scanned the part of the room she could see. The bow and arrows that Father Christmas presented her during the Winter caught her eye. She stared at it for what seemed like a long time. Fantasizing over how she loved archery and was overjoyed when Father Christmas gave them to her for the battle against Jadis, the White Witch. Soon, Susan drifted into a peaceful sleep, dreaming of archery and memories of the battle scenes.

A few hours later, Queen Lucy sneaked down the hallway towards her sister Susan's rooms. She slowly eased the door open, and peered inside to find Susan sleeping. As she was in an irritating mood, Lucy rushed in and jumped on the bed, laughing, trying to wake Susan up.
Lucy herself had the look of one who had run a 3 mile race not too long ago, and her hair was still quite wet from swimming. She said to her sister, "Susan! Susan, how can you possibly sleep on such a lovely day?"

Susan grumbled as her sister woke her up in the middle of an amiable dream where she was winning all the archery tournements against the best all over the world. "Ugh, what do you want? Couldn't you see that I was in the middle of a good dream?" Susan was always grumpy when she gets woken up.
The elegant queen sat up and rubbed her eyes, then placing her hand on her mattress. Oddly, there was a wet spot where she was touching. She then felt all over her bed and found various spots of soaked sheets. Susan looked up at Lucy, where she was still standing, and noticed her dripping hair. "Look what you did! My beds all wet, thanks to you! Ohhh, wait til I get you!" And Susan started to make a chase for Lucy, no longer remembering to be lady-like.

Lucy laughed and screamed at the same time as she leapt off of Susan's bed and rushed towards the other side of the room, towards the door. She grabbed the handle and wrenched it open, then sped into the corridor. After running a few steps, she stoppped tentatively and watched, wondering if Susan would chase her down the hallway. She was still full of giggles, which didn't help matters much, but she thought, Oh well!

Susan lept off her bed in one swift, quick motion. She ran towards the ajar door, where her sister rushed out of just a few moments ago. Running out the door and into the corridor, Susan peeked under little, stool-tables, behind suits of armor and pillars. Searching down the hall, Susan found no trace of her sister. "Lu-cy. Lucy, come out, come out where ever you are! You know you can't hide forever."
As Susan was saying this she spotted a piece of cloth that was heavily contrasted with the hall. The queen smirked to herself and started towards it. Anticipation built as she slowly tip-toed towards the piece of clothing...

Lucy was behind the cloth, and she hurriedly felt around on the wall behind her for the secret door. Yes! she thought triumphantly as she found the handle and quietly turned it, opening the door and slipping throught it into the secret hallway. She slowly, quietly shut the door behind her, and enclosed herself in darkness.

As Susan approached the fabric, she saw it suddenly disappear. A bit surprised the queen stalled for a fraction of a second. Then realizing that it was really Lucy, Susan rushed to the curtain and pulled it back. Nothing. Where did she go? The secret passage had slipped her mind. In puzzlement Susan continued down the hall in search for her younger sister.

Lucy heard Susan leave, and quietly and discretely opened the door so that a sliver of the hallway was visible. She saw Susan going back down it, giggled a little, then shut the door again. She moved a little ways down the passage and then sat down, leaning against the wall, smiling in triumph.
